The observations were conducted with the Arecibo Telescope (beam FWHP~1') to verify the tentative detection of H_2_CO thermal emission reported by Duncan and collaborators in 1987MNRAS.224..721D. The H_2_CO emission lines were expected to be present with a signal-to-noise ratio of &gt;~10 in our spectra. However, we did not detect H_2_CO emission; i.e., our data rule out their tentative detection. The absence of H_2_CO emission is also confirmed by the fact that the H_2_CO line profiles at the two positions of expected emission are well fitted by a single absorption component (accounting for the hyperfine structure of the line) in one of the positions and by a single absorption line plus a red-wing absorption component in the second position. The Orion BN/KL region remains the only H_2_CO 6cm thermal emitter known. Our observations also demonstrate that the H_2_CO 6cm absorption line traces not only the quiescent molecular cloud but also the kinematics associated with the star formation process in L1551-IRS5.</description><source format="bibcode">2006AJ....132.1851A</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/132/1851</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/318/879">J/A+A/318/879 : IR photometry of L1551/IRS5 (Men'shchikov+ 1997)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/420/945">J/A+A/420/945 : L1551 ISOCAM observations (Galfalk+, 2004)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/132/1851</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/132/1851</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/132/1851</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/132/1851</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/132/1851</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/132/1851</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/AJ/132/1851/table1 (Model Results)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/132/1851/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/132/1851/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/132/1851/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>67.8233</ra><dec>18.08167</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/23549</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/AJ/132/1851?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/132/1851/table1</name><description>Model Results</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
