There are 70 sources in the Chandra field, two of which are fairly extended and likely background clusters of galaxies. A third source was resolved by Chandra that has the same size and position as a known supernova remnant. The suspected variability detected from this source in previous missions is shown to be in error. The majority of the remaining 67 sources are consistent with background sources. Of the 61 sources detected above a completeness limit of 10 events, we estimate that 9+/-4+/-8 are associated with the galaxy, including both systematic and statistical errors. We compare the X-ray positions of all sources with various catalogs and Hubble Space Telescope data and offer tentative identifications for several. Based on the mass and star formation rate of NGC 6822, we expect only about 10 sources, mostly high-mass systems.</description><source format="bibcode">2006AJ....132.1372T</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/132/1372</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/121/2020">J/AJ/121/2020 : CTIO and WFPC2 photometry in NGC 6822 (Bianchi+, 2001)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/132/378">J/AJ/132/378 : HST and UV photometry of NGC 6822 (Bianchi+, 2006)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/132/1372</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/132/1372</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/132/1372</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/132/1372</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/132/1372</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/132/1372</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/AJ/132/1372/table1 (Chandra Sources in NGC 6822)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/132/1372/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/132/1372/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/132/1372/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>296.06829583</ra><dec>-14.76039167</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/29716 29718</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/AJ/132/1372?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>X-ray</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/132/1372/table1</name><description>Chandra Sources in NGC 6822</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
