A total of 207 of the 2157 KISS ELGs (~10%) in the first two H{alpha}-selected survey lists (Cats &lt;J/AJ/121/66&gt;, &lt;J/AJ/127/1943&gt;) were found to possess radio detections in FIRST, NVSS, or both. Follow-up spectra exist for all of the radio detections, allowing us to determine the activity type (star-forming vs. active nucleus) for the entire sample. We explore the properties of the radio-detected KISS galaxies in order to gain a better insight into the nature of radio-emitting galaxies in the local universe (z&lt;0.1). Because of the selection technique used for KISS, our radio ELGs represent a quasivolume-limited sample, which allows us to develop a clearer picture of the radio galaxy population at low redshift. Nearly two-thirds of the KISS radio galaxies are starburst or star-forming galaxies, which is in stark contrast to the results of flux-limited radio surveys, which are dominated by active galactic nuclei (AGNs) and elliptical galaxies (i.e., classical radio galaxies).</description><source format="bibcode">2004AJ....127.1959V</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/127/1959</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VIII/71">VIII/71 : The FIRST Survey Catalog, Version 03Apr11 (Becker+ 2003)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/121/66">J/AJ/121/66 : KISS H{alpha} survey list 1 (Salzer+, 2001)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/127/1943">J/AJ/127/1943 : KISS H{alpha} survey list 2 (Salzer+, 2004)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/127/1959</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/127/1959</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/127/1959</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/127/1959</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/127/1959</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/127/1959</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/AJ/127/1959/table3 (Optical and radio Properties of the radio emission-line galaxies (ELG) sample)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/127/1959/table3?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/127/1959/table3?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/127/1959/table3?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>184.580417</ra><dec>29.253694</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/2727 6/5463 5469 5471 8957 8959 9021 9037 9039 9043-9045 9048 9059 9066 9107-9108 9123 9126 9128-9129 9294-9295 9304-9305 9316-9317 9321 9359 9368 9377 9379-9382 9384-9385 9819 9831 9837 9840-9841 9843-9844 9848 9884-9886 9899 9901 9903 9921 9928 10302-10303 10317 10319 10322-10324 10328-10329 10339 10342 10381-10383 10385-10387 10393-10394 10401-10402 10404 10408-10409 10588-10590 10606 10609-10610 10652 10654 10667-10669 10673 10676 10689 10691 10839 10845-10847 10855 10862 10865-10868 10919 10925-10926 10928-10929 10931-10932 10936 10944 10946 11009-11010 11012 11265 28158 28493-28495 28497-28500 28504 28516-28517</spatial><spectral>9.276497240453405e-25 9.276497240453405e-25</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/AJ/127/1959?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Radio</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/127/1959/table3</name><description>Optical and radio Properties of the radio emission-line galaxies (ELG) sample</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
