The inferred slope is in agreement with the theoretical value, {alpha}=-0.75, calculated by Bahcall and Wolf for the distribution of equal-mass stars surrounding a massive black hole and is also consistent with the radial profile expected from core collapse without a central black hole. The object AC 214 is a candidate for the central density cusp. Analysis of Monte Carlo simulations of the diffuse light indicates that, using current analysis techniques and available data, the residual light is not a reliable indicator of the true density distribution. This is contrary to earlier work. Photometric measurements in V and I of more than 5x10^3^ stars (and in U, V, and I of &gt;~1500 stars) are used to construct color-magnitude diagrams in the central 1' of M15. Fourteen blue straggler candidates are identified in the inner 20". The central color gradient noticed by previous researchers is caused by a central depletion of bright red giant stars rather than an excess of blue stragglers or blue horizontal branch stars.</description><source format="bibcode">1994AJ....107.1745Y</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/AJ/107/1745</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/106/154">J/AJ/106/154 : HST Observations in inner region of M15 (Ferraro+ 1993)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/107/2067">J/AJ/107/2067 : Fabry-Perot measurements of M15 (Gebhardt+, 1994)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/110/704">J/AJ/110/704 : RR Lyrae in M15 (Silbermann+ 1995)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/347/251">J/ApJ/347/251 : Dynamics of Globular Cluster M15 (Peterson+ 1989)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/107/1745</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/107/1745</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/AJ/107/1745</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/107/1745</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/107/1745</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/AJ/107/1745</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/AJ/107/1745/table3 (Stellar photometry and astrometry for M15 (V &lt; 18.1))</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/107/1745/table3?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/107/1745/table3?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/AJ/107/1745/table3?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>322.4795636</ra><dec>12.1647592</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/12405</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/AJ/107/1745?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/AJ/107/1745/table3</name><description>Stellar photometry and astrometry for M15 (V &lt; 18.1)</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
