We have used logC+0.4R as an alternative expression for log(f_X_/f_opt_), where C is X-ray count rate and R stands for R magnitude. Then a high X-ray-to-optical flux ratio criterion has been used to select an AGN sample with 165 unidentified X-ray sources for optical spectroscopy. Those 165 X-ray sources have been identified in the following classes: 115 emission line AGN (QSOs and Seyferts), 2 BL Lac objects and 4 BL Lac candidates, 22 clusters of galaxies, 12 Galactic stars and 10 objects remain unidentified. This represent a success rate of about 73% for detecting AGN using our selection criteria. Plausibility is based upon the optical classification and X-ray characteristics of the sources.</description><source format="bibcode">1999A&amp;AS..139..575W</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+AS/139/575</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/IX/10">IX/10 : ROSAT All-Sky Bright Source Catalogue (1RXS) (Voges+ 1999)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/I/243">I/243 : The PMM USNO-A1.0 Catalogue (Monet 1997)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+AS/139/575</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+AS/139/575</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+AS/139/575</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+AS/139/575</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+AS/139/575</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+AS/139/575</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+AS/139/575/table2 (X-ray identification information)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+AS/139/575/table2?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+AS/139/575/table2?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+AS/139/575/table2?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>0.049</ra><dec>5.3881389</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><facility>ROSAT</facility><coverage><spatial>6/135 142 258 319 332 361 406 591 746 2060 2067 2078 2094 2134 2161 2173 2231 2260 2271 2276 2284 2287 2295 2298 2321 2568 2584 4077 4130 4234 4256 4646 4669 4735 4748 4786 4826 4992 5118 6163 6204 6217 6336-6337 6361 6375 6399 6436 6443 6487 6502 6518 6551 6557 6574 6577 6582 6590 6595 6628 6650 6724 6928 6962 7033 7106-7107 7159 7216 7313 7328 7330 7338 7393 7410 7420 7699 7732 7885 7900 7917 7947 7978 7998 8066 8137 12312 12404 12504 12594 12613 12639 12758 13323 13362 13379-13380 13432 13438 13458 13504 13516 15978 15982 16022 16080-16081 17896 18136 18246 19280 19314 19366 19370 19402 19443 19504 19533 19563 19566 19592 19608 19625 19662 19708 19775 19867 19932 19945 19976 20012 20031 20071 20079 20091 20168 20172 20177 20202 20249 20265 20269 20298 20300 20313 20315 20342 20345 20357 20371 20446-20447 21879 21885 21971 22007 22367 22389 23418 23470 23485</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+AS/139/575?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>X-ray</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+AS/139/575/table2</name><description>X-ray identification information</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
