In a first paper, we presented a search for polarized sources in deep observations of the 25-square-degree area of the European Large Area ISO Survey-North 1 (ELAIS-N1) field with the LOw Frequency ARray (LOFAR) at 114.9-177.4MHz. In this paper, we investigate the properties of the polarized radio galaxies and use the catalog to produce an RM grid of the field. After identifying the host galaxies and collecting redshift information, we characterized the radio galaxies in terms of their radio morphologies, rest-frame radio luminosities, and linear sizes. We calculated residual rotation measures (RRMs) by removing the Galactic RM and studied the variation in the RRMs with redshift and degree of polarization. We produced an RRM grid of the field and compared the positions of the polarized sources with those of galaxy clusters and superclusters. The radio galaxies show a variety of morphologies, including diffuse emission; Fanaroff Riley type II sources make up about half of the sample. Using available multiband catalogs, we found redshifts for the hosts of all polarized sources in the range of 0.06 to 1.9. Polarized emission is detected mainly from large radio galaxies. The RRM values have a median close to zero, and they appear to be independent of redshift and degree of polarization. The sources in the lines of sight of clusters of galaxies and of a supercluster are indistinguishable in their polarization and RRM properties from the population of sources that are not behind these structures.</description><source format="bibcode">2025A&amp;A...693A.100P</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/693/A100</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/648/A2">J/A+A/648/A2 : LOFAR Two-metre Sky Survey Deep Fields DR1 (Sabater+, 2021)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/693/A100</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/693/A100</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/693/A100</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/693/A100</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/693/A100</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/693/A100</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/693/A100/tablea1 (Catalog of 33 polarized components in the ELAIS-N1 LOFAR deep field)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/693/A100/tablea1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/693/A100/tablea1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/693/A100/tablea1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>239.0149</ra><dec>55.0158</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/2537-2538 6/9981 10145 10147 10156-10158 10170 11349 11351 11521-11522</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/693/A100?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Radio</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/693/A100/tablea1</name><description>Catalog of 33 polarized components in the ELAIS-N1 LOFAR deep field</description><column><name>e_GRM</name><description>GGalactic rotation measure error</description><unit>rad.m**-2</unit><ucd>stat.error</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">float</dataType></column><column><name>RRM</name><description>Residual rotation measure of polarized source</description><unit>rad.m**-2</unit><ucd>stat.fit.residual;phys.polarization.rotMeasure</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">float</dataType></column><column><name>e_RRM</name><description>Residual rotation measure error</description><unit>rad.m**-2</unit><ucd>stat.error</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">float</dataType></column><column><name>HostName</name><description>Name of the polarized source host galaxy</description><ucd>meta.id.parent</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="24*">char</dataType></column><column><name>RAHdeg</name><description>Right Ascension of the host galaxy (J2000)</description><unit>deg</unit><ucd>pos.eq.ra</ucd></column><column><name>DEHdeg</name><description>Declination of the host galaxy (J2000)</description><unit>deg</unit><ucd>pos.eq.dec</ucd></column><column><name>z</name><description>Redshift of the host galaxy</description><ucd>src.redshift</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">double</dataType></column><column><name>e_z</name><description>?
