The low noise level of below 0.02 mJy/beam of the LOFAR deep field observations at 144 MHz enabled the identification of 447 extended radio galaxies (ERG) with apparent radio size larger than 30 arcsec. For these we measured the major axis radio position angle (RPA). For 95 per cent of these sources have either photometric or spectroscopic redshifts, we performed a three-dimensional alignment analysis. We show the distribution of the position angles of radio galaxies in the ELAIS-N1 field and perform multiple statistical tests to find that the distribution of position angles is consistent with being uniform. Two peaks around position angles of 50 and 140 deg are likely spurious and not caused by clustering of aligned sources in 3D space. Our results do not support a 2D or 3D alignment of radio galaxies on scales smaller than ~4 deg.</description><source format="bibcode">2023A&amp;A...672A.178S</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/672/A178</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/328">II/328 : AllWISE Data Release (Cutri+ 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/365">II/365 : CatWISE2020 catalog (updated version 28-Jan-2021) (Marocco+, 2021)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/II/357">II/357 : The Dark Energy Survey (DES): Data Release 1 (Abbott+, 2018)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VII/292">VII/292 : DESI Legacy Imaging Surveys DR8 (Duncan, 2022)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/648/A2">J/A+A/648/A2 : LoTSS Deep Fields DR1 ELAIS-N1 deep field (Sabater+, 2021)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/648/A3">J/A+A/648/A3 : LoTSS Deep Fields DR1 ELAIS-N1 &amp; Lockman Hole (Kondapally+ 2021)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/648/A4">J/A+A/648/A4 : LoTSS Deep Fields DR1 photometric redshifts (Duncan+, 2021)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/672/A178</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/672/A178</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/672/A178</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/672/A178</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/672/A178</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/672/A178</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/672/A178/tablea1 (Radio and optical data for 447 Extended Radio Galaxies (ERG))</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/672/A178/tablea1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/672/A178/tablea1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/672/A178/tablea1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>238.1721</ra><dec>54.292</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>4/634 5/2880-2881 6/9981 9983 10123 10126-10127 10160 10162 10168 11348-11349 11351 11357 11528-11529</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/672/A178?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Radio</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/672/A178/tablea1</name><description>Radio and optical data for 447 Extended Radio Galaxies (ERG)</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
