Ages of the stellar populations in LeoA range from ~10Myr to ~10Gyr. A large stellar halo (up to the deprojected distance of ~1.7kpc was discovered based on Subaru wide-field photometry of red giant branch stars. We analysed HST WFC3 archive observation data in the field that is partly located beyond the previously known limits of the LeoA galaxy. We performed photometry of star-like objects in the F475W and F814W passbands and studied the spatial distribution of the Leo A stars below the horizontal branch. We report a discovery of stellar halo populations (subgiants and faint red giants) in the Leo A galaxy extending up to ~2.3kpc deprojected distance from the galaxy centre. Analysis of the colour-magnitude diagram suggests old (&gt;5Gyr) stellar populations of very low metallicity (Z~0.0001).</description><source format="bibcode">2018A&amp;A...614A.144S</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/614/A144</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/AJ/123/3154">J/AJ/123/3154 : RV light curves of variable stars in Leo A (Dolphin+, 2002)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/214/19">J/ApJS/214/19 : Suprime-Cam wide-field photometry of Leo A (Stonkute+, 2014)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/614/A144</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/614/A144</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/614/A144</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/614/A144</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/614/A144</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/614/A144</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/614/A144/table (Photometry parameters for 128 star-like objects)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/614/A144/table?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/614/A144/table?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/614/A144/table?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>149.76875</ra><dec>30.84764</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/5293</spatial><spectral>2.0401237512456292e-19 2.706461185444514e-19</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/614/A144?format=ascii</footprint></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/614/A144/table</name><description>Photometry parameters for 128 star-like objects</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
