Data from the Kepler mission have proven the existence of several transiting circumbinary planets. Albeit light-curves from CoRoT have typically lower precision and shorter coverage, CoRoT's number of targets is similar to Kepler, and some of the known circumbinary planets could potentially be detected in CoRoT data as well. The aim of this work has been a revision of the entire CoRoT data-set for the presence of circumbinary planets, and the derivation of limits to the abundances of such planets. We developed a code which removes the light curve of the eclipsing binaries and searches for quasi-periodic transit-like features in a light curve after removal of binary eclipses and instrumental features. The code needs little information on the sample systems and can be used for other space missions as well, like Kepler, K2, TESS and PLATO. The code is broad in the requirements leading to detections, but was tuned to deliver an amount of detections that is manageable in a subsequent, mainly visual, revision about their nature. In the CoRoT sample we identified three planet candidates whose transits would have arisen from a single pass across the central binary. No candidates remained however with transit events from multiple planetary orbits. We calculated the upper limits for the number of Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune sized planets in co-planar orbits for different orbital period ranges. We found that there are much less giant planets in short-periodic orbits around close binary systems than around single stars.</description><source format="bibcode">2017A&amp;A...602A.117K</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/602/A117</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/B/corot">B/corot : CoRoT observation log (N2-4.4) (CoRoT 2016)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/602/A117</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/602/A117</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/602/A117</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/602/A117</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/602/A117</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/602/A117</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/602/A117/table1 (CoRoT-ID and orbital period of CoRoT binaries)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/602/A117/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/602/A117/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/602/A117/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>290.79276</ra><dec>1.37706</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/5510 5519 5901 5909 7560 7570 7582 7609 7611 7614 7956 6/21375 21461 21463 22029 22034 22046 22058 22065 22067-22068 22070-22071 22120 22122 22144 22146 22163-22165 22167-22169 22171-22172 22174 22205 22207-22208 22210 22248 22250-22251 22254 22265 22267 22270-22271 23571 23573-23574 23579-23580 23582-23583 23601 23612-23613 23616-23617 23620-23622 23633 23808 29557 29559 29934-29935 29951 30230-30231 30236-30237 30239 30276-30277 30279 30288 30293 30295 30301 30334 30414 30417 30420 30433 30448 30450-30451 30460 30462 30464 30466 30472-30473 31813 31815 31830 31833</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/602/A117?format=ascii</footprint></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/602/A117/table1</name><description>CoRoT-ID and orbital period of CoRoT binaries</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
