These galaxies offer us a unique opportunity to investigate collective star formation and its effects on galaxy evolution in a relatively simple environment. Spatially resolved spectrophotometric studies of BCGs are essential for a better understanding of the role of starburst-driven feedback processes on the kinematical and chemical evolution of low-mass galaxies near and far. We carry out an integral field spectroscopic study of a sample of BCGs, with the aim to probe the morphology, kinematics, dust extinction, and excitation mechanisms of their warm interstellar medium. Eight BCGs were observed with the VIMOS integral field unit at the Very Large Telescope using blue and orange grisms in high resolution mode. At a spatial sampling of 0.67 per spaxel we covered about 30x30-arcsec on the sky, with a wavelength range of 4150...7400{AA}. Emission lines were fitted with a single Gaussian profiles to measure their wavelength, flux, and width. From these data we built two-dimensional maps of the continuum and the most prominent emission-lines, as well as diagnostic line ratios, extinction, and kinematic maps. An atlas of emission-line fluxes and continuum emission; ionization, interstellar extinction, and electron density maps from line ratios; velocity and velocity dispersion fields. Additionally, from integrated spectroscopy, tables of the extinction corrected line fluxes and equivalent widths, diagnostic-line ratios, physical parameters and abundances for the brightest star-forming knots and for the whole galaxy.</description><source format="bibcode">2015A&amp;A...577A..21C</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/577/A21</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/708/1076">J/ApJ/708/1076 : The WHIQII survey: compact blue galaxies (Tollerud+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/556/A10">J/A+A/556/A10 : Multiband surface photometry of 21 BCGs (Micheva+ 2013)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/577/A21</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/577/A21</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/577/A21</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/577/A21</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/577/A21</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/577/A21</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/577/A21/list (List of FITS datacube)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/577/A21/list?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/577/A21/list?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/577/A21/list?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>9.2187083</ra><dec>-33.5547778</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>6/16845 16884 18762 19125 35576 35587 47523 47701</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/577/A21?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/577/A21/list</name><description>List of FITS datacube</description><column><name>Title</name><description>Title of the file</description><ucd>meta.title;meta.file</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="34*">char</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
