Its spectral properties are therefore the template for an entire class of objects. The main goal is to systematically study the 1.3cm spectral line characteristics of IRC +10216. We carried out a spectral line survey with the Effelsberg-100m telescope toward IRC +10216. It covers the frequency range between 17.8GHz and 26.3GHz (K-band). In the circumstellar shell of IRC +10216, we find 78 spectral lines, among which 12 remain unidentified. The identified lines are assigned to 18 different molecules and radicals. A total of 23 lines from species known to exist in this envelope are detected for the first time outside the Solar System and there are additional 20 lines firstly detected in IRC +10216. The potential orgin of U lines is also discussed. Assuming local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE), we determine rotational temperatures and column densities of 17 detected molecules. Molecular abundances relative to H_2_ are also estimated. A non-LTE analysis of NH_3_ shows that the bulk of its emission arises from the inner envelope with a kinetic temperature of 70+/-20K. Evidence for NH_3_ emitting gas with higher kinetic temperature is also obtained, and potential abundance differences between various ^13^C-bearing isotopologues of HC_5_N are evaluated. Overall, the isotopic ^12^C/^13^C ratio is estimated to be 49+/-9. Finally, a comparison of detected molecules in the 1.3cm range with the dark cloud TMC-1 indicates that silicate bearing molecules are more predominant in IRC +10216.</description><source format="bibcode">2015A&amp;A...574A..56G</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/574/A56</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/330/676">J/A+A/330/676 : IRC+10216 Silicon and sulfur chemistry (Willacy+ 1998)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/545/A12">J/A+A/545/A12 : Chemistry of IRC+10216 inner wind modelled (Cherchneff, 2012)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJ/688/L83">J/ApJ/688/L83 : Detection of C_5_N^-^ in IRC +10216 (Cernicharo+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/177/275">J/ApJS/177/275 : 1.3 and 2mm survey of IRC+10216 (He+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/190/348">J/ApJS/190/348 : 1mm spectral survey of IRC+10216 + VY CMa (Tenenbaum+, 2010)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/ApJS/193/17">J/ApJS/193/17 : Spectral-line survey of IRC+10216 at 293-355GHz (Patel+, 2011)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/574/A56</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/574/A56</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/574/A56</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/574/A56</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/574/A56</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/574/A56</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/574/A56/list (Spectrum information)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/574/A56/list?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/574/A56/list?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/574/A56/list?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>146.9888672</ra><dec>13.2793229</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><capability><description>Associated data</description><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/assocdata/?obs_collection=J/A+A/574/A56</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><spatial>6/4365</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/574/A56?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/574/A56/list</name><description>Spectrum information</description><column><name>ObsDate</name><description>Observation date (YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss.sss)</description><unit>s</unit><ucd>time.epoch;obs</ucd><flag>nullable</flag></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
