We observed a secondary eclipse of WASP-46b simultaneously in the g'r'i'z'JHK bands using the GROND instrument on the MPG/ESO 2.2m telescope. Eclipse depths of the acquired light curves were derived to infer the brightness temperatures at multibands that cover the SED peak. We report the first detection of the thermal emission from the dayside of WASP-46b in the K band at 4.2-sigma level and tentative detections in the H (2.5-sigma) and J (2.3-sigma) bands, with flux ratios of 0.253^+0.063^_-0.060_%, 0.194+/-0.078%, and 0.129+/-0.055%, respectively. The derived brightness temperatures (2306^+177^_-187_K, 2462^+245^_-302_K, and 2453^+198^_-258_K, respectively) are consistent with an isothermal temperature profile of 2386K, which is significantly higher than the dayside-averaged equilibrium temperature, indicative of very poor heat redistribution efficiency. We also investigate the tentative detections in the g'r'i' bands and the 3-sigma upper limit in the z' band, which might indicate the existence of reflective clouds if these tentative detections do not arise from systematics.</description><source format="bibcode">2014A&amp;A...567A...8C</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/567/A8</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/430/2932">J/MNRAS/430/2932 : WASP-44 griz light curves (Mancini+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/434/1300">J/MNRAS/434/1300 : WASP-15 and WASP-16 light curves (Southworth+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/436/2">J/MNRAS/436/2 : Transits of WASP-19b (Mancini+, 2013)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/563/A40">J/A+A/563/A40 : WASP-43b g'r'i'z'JHK light curves (Chen+, 2014)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/564/A6">J/A+A/564/A6 : NIR emission from the dayside of WASP-5b (Chen+, 2014)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/567/A8</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/567/A8</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/567/A8</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/567/A8</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/567/A8</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/567/A8</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/567/A8/occ</name><description>Combined table from original tables</description><column><name>AirM</name><description>[1.12/1.4] Airmass</description><ucd>obs.airMass</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">float</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
