To learn more about large scale structures and accretion processes, the extended environment of galaxies must also be observed. Numerical simulations predict a cosmic web of extended structures and gaseous filaments. To detect HI beyond the ionisation edge of galaxy disks, column density sensitivities have to be achieved that probe the regime of Lyman limit systems. Typically HI observations are limited to a brightness sensitivity of N_HI_~10^19^cm^-2^ but this has to be improved by at least an order of magnitude.</description><source format="bibcode">2011A&amp;A...533A.122P</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/533/A122</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VIII/73">VIII/73 : HI Parkes All Sky Survey Catalogue (HIPASS) (Meyer+, 2004)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VIII/89">VIII/89 : Northern HI Parkes All Sky Survey Catalogue (HIPASS) (Wong+, 2006)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/533/A122</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/533/A122</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/533/A122</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/533/A122</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/533/A122</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/533/A122</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/533/A122/table1 (Observed properties of HI detections in reprocessed HIPASS data within the Westerbork Virgo Filament Survey region)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/533/A122/table1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/533/A122/table1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/533/A122/table1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>125.42083</ra><dec>-0.41667</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/6584 6/4121 4126 4148-4149 4169 4181 4291 8195 8221 8225 8235 8243 8256 8320 8327 8330 8348 8354-8355 8359-8360 21864 25591 25598-25599 25917-25918 25935 25946 25958-25960 25966 25971-25972 25974 25979-25980 25999 26037 26061 26066 26069 26072 26090 26102 26174-26175 26194 26214 26217 26222 26234 26259-26261 26265 26268 26270-26271 26277 26279 26287 26290 26292 26294-26295 26301 26303-26304 26306 26309 26317-26318 26323 26329-26331 26353-26354 26362 26364-26365 26377 26388 26411-26412 26423 26451 26466 26472 26502 26517-26518 26523 26544 26979 26992 26997 27030 27034 27055 27064 27068 27070 27074 27079 27090 27098 27106 27114 27130 27199 27246 27251 27253 27308 27328 27331 27334 27383 27406-27407 27413 27426-27427 27458 27502 27514 27525 27561 27568 27653 27664 27712-27713 27715-27716 27718-27721 27723-27724 27727 27731 27736-27737 27750-27751 27757 27761 27763-27764 27811 27814 27818 27820 27823 27828 27905 27907 28160 31322 31327 31400 31469 31475 31559 31628 31630 31632 31881-31882 45054</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/533/A122?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband><waveband>Radio</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/533/A122/table1</name><description>Observed properties of HI detections in reprocessed HIPASS data within the Westerbork Virgo Filament Survey region</description><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
