Observations of neutral hydrogen are routinely used to image the high brightness disks of galaxies and to study their kinematics. Deeper observations will give more insight into the distribution of diffuse gas in the extended halo of the galaxies and the inter-galactic medium, where numerical simulations predict a cosmic web of extended structures and gaseous filaments. To observe the extended environment of galaxies, column density sensitivities have to be achieved that probe the regime of Lyman limit systems. HI observations are typically limited to a brightness sensitivity of NHI~10^19^cm^-2^, but this must be improved upon by ~2 orders of magnitude.</description><source format="bibcode">2011A&amp;A...528A..28P</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/528/A28</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/527/A90">J/A+A/527/A90 : WSRT Virgo HI filament survey (Popping+, 2011)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/528/A28</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/528/A28</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/528/A28</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/528/A28</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/528/A28</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/528/A28</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/528/A28/tablea1 (Physical properties of HI detections in the Westerbork Virgo Filament Survey)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/528/A28/tablea1?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/528/A28/tablea1?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/528/A28/tablea1?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>127.8426667</ra><dec>6.9650889</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/6582 6584 6928 6/4121 4126 4138 4148-4149 4167 4178 4181 4195 4197 4204 4224-4225 4232 8203 8225 8235 8243 8256 8280 8320 8327 8329-8330 8335 8354-8357 8360 25966 25972 25974 25979-25980 26061 26065-26066 26068-26069 26072 26090 26093 26234 26279 26287 26289 26293-26294 26301 26303-26304 26309 26317-26318 26320 26323 26342 26351 26353 26361-26363 26365 26377 26388 26411-26412 26423 26432 26451 26466 26472 26502 26518 26997 27064 27068 27070 27079 27090 27098 27106 27130 27243 27246 27253 27328 27330-27331 27334 27340 27347 27351 27365 27367 27372 27375 27383 27388 27406-27407 27413 27426-27427 27431 27458 27477 27482 27524-27525 27528 27554-27555 27561 27653-27655 27664 27670-27671 27677 27697 27716 27718-27722 27724-27725 27727-27729 27731-27732 27736 27746 27789 27791 27811 27814 27818 27820 31451 31469 31475 31559 31619 31628 31630 31632</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/528/A28?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Radio</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/528/A28/tablea1</name><description>Physical properties of HI detections in the Westerbork Virgo Filament Survey</description><column><name>Seq</name><description>Sequential number</description><ucd>meta.record</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">int</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
