We give an accurate MK classification of all targets, which is valuable information on both the main CoRoT project and additional science programs, by means of cross-correlation with MK standard stars, by using artificial neural networks. The presence or absence of excess H{alpha} emission, determined using spectral subtraction technique, is used to characterize the chromospheric activity level. In most cases our MK classification agrees with the spectral classification reported in the SIMBAD database; however, there are a few stars that are found to have very different MK classes. Our survey reveals that ~7% of late-type stars in our sample indeed possess a very active chromosphere. The measured H{alpha} excess and the presence of the 6708{AA}, Li line allow us to confirm the membership of 5 targets in the young open cluster NGC 2264.</description><source format="bibcode">2007A&amp;A...469..713M</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/469/713</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/B/corot">B/corot : CoRoT observation log (CoRoT, 2009)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/MNRAS/298/332">J/MNRAS/298/332 : Chromospheric activity-age relation (Rocha-Pinto+ 1998)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/379/976">J/A+A/379/976 : Moving groups late-type stars EW + fluxes (Montes+ 2001)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/469/713</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/469/713</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/469/713</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/469/713</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/469/713</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/469/713</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/469/713/catalog (Positions, magnitudes and spectral types of the studied stars (tables 1, 2, 3 and 5 of paper), positions fixed)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/469/713/catalog?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/469/713/catalog?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/469/713/catalog?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>93.002375</ra><dec>6.7830833</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/5561 6/20990 21462 21659 21676 21680 21682 21691 21731 21742 22027 22036-22037 22039-22040 22045-22047 22071 22090 22094 22110 22112 22114-22116 22118 22121 22123 22125 22127 22134 22137 22139 22145 22148 22159 22174 22209 22213-22214 22218-22219 22222 22240-22241 22243 22249 22251-22254 22257 22263-22264 22269 22271 22315 22322 22328 22420 23583 23618-23619 23621-23623 23636-23637 23639 29549 29563-29564 29655 29878 29926 30214-30215 30217 30221 30227 30242 30245 30307-30308 30331 30343-30344 30357 30363 30394 30407 30416 30419 30438 30440 30452 30455 30459 30499 30501 30503 30512 30514-30515 30521-30524 30526 30592 30604 30606 30612 30614 30616-30617 30619 31772 31774 31814 31821 31828</spatial><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/469/713?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/469/713/catalog</name><description>Positions, magnitudes and spectral types of the studied stars (tables 1, 2, 3 and 5 of paper), positions fixed</description><column><name>SimbadName</name><description>Simbad column added by the CDS</description><ucd>meta.id</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="21*">char</dataType><flag>nullable</flag></column><column><name>RAo</name><description>Original right Ascension J2000</description><ucd>pos.eq.ra</ucd></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
