Spectra covering a 2130{AA} spectral range centered on 5785{AA} are of high resolving power and high signal to noise ratio. We compare detailed properties of spectral lines and not albedo variations. It is shown that the normalized Solar and asteroid spectra are identical except for radial velocity (RV) shifts which can be predicted at accuracy level of 1m/s. So asteroids are proposed as new and extremely accurate radial velocity standards. Predicted and measured RVs of observed asteroids match within the limits of accuracy of the instrument. There are numerous absorption lines in the reflected Solar spectrum. This allows a direct mapping of the resolving power of a spectrograph between and along echelle spectral orders. Thus asteroid spectra can be used to test the wavelength calibration and resolving power of spectrographs on the ground as well as in space, including the Gaia mission of ESA.</description><source format="bibcode">2007A&amp;A...462..795Z</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/462/795</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/B/astorb">B/astorb : Orbits of Minor Planets and Comets (Bowell+ 2006)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/462/795</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/462/795</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/462/795</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/462/795</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/462/795</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/462/795</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Optical</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/462/795/table5</name><description>Spectra</description><column><name>medaster</name><description>Median asteroid flux</description><ucd>phot.flux</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">float</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
