Our radial velocities reveal evidence of a planetary companion with an orbital period P=1928^+53^_-39^d, an eccentricity e=0.53^+0.23^_-0.18_, and a velocity semiamplitude K=92^+102^_-29_m/s. The inferred companion minimum mass is M_2_sin{i}=5.1^+2.6^_-1.5_M_Jup_ and the semimajor axis a=3.03+/-0.05AU. Only one full orbital revolution has been monitored yet, and the periastron passage could not be observed since the star was too low on the horizon. The eccentricity and velocity semiamplitude remain therefore quite uncertain and the orbital solution is preliminary. HD 142022 is a chromospherically inactive K0 dwarf, metal rich relative to the Sun, and is the primary component of a wide binary. HD 142022b is thus a new "planet in binary" candidate, and its high eccentricity might be due to secular interactions with the distant stellar companion.</description><source format="bibcode">2006A&amp;A...447.1159E</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/447/1159</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/375/L27">J/A+A/375/L27 : HD 80606b a planet on an extremely elongated orbit (Naef+ 2001)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/356/590">J/A+A/356/590 : HD 75289 and HD 130322 planetary companions (Udry+, 2000)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/375/205">J/A+A/375/205 : The CORALIE survey for extrasolar planets V (Naef+ 2001)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/379/999">J/A+A/379/999 : Giant planets around HD 28185 and HD 213240 (Santos+ 2001)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/388/632">J/A+A/388/632 : Radial-velocity of HD 108147 and HD 168746 (Pepe+, 2002)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/390/267">J/A+A/390/267 : HD 141937, HD 162020, HD 168443 and HD 202206 (Udry+, 2002)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/392/215">J/A+A/392/215 : A 1.3d period brown dwarf disguised as a planet (Santos+ 2002)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/406/373">J/A+A/406/373 : Radial velocities of HD 192263 (Santos+, 2003)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/415/391">J/A+A/415/391 : 16 extra-solar planets discovered with CORALIE (Mayor+, 2004)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/480/L33">J/A+A/480/L33 : Radial velocities of HD 4113 and HD 156846 (Tamuz+, 2008)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/410/1039">J/A+A/410/1039 : Northern extra-solar planets ELODIE survey.
