All 260 counterparts of IPS radio sources from the 7C and FIRST catalogues, which had been found in Paper I (Cat. &lt;J/A+A/403/555&gt;), were considered. We used USNO-B1.0 catalogue (limiting magnitude m_R_~21) for the optical identification and searched the literature to find optical data for fainter objects. Photometric and spectroscopic observations were conducted on the 1m and 6m telescopes of SAO RAS. Optical magnitudes or deep limits for 22 objects and redshifts for 26 ones have been obtained. In total, we collected optical data for 116 (68 with redshift) counterparts of the PS radio sources. For the subsample of the PS quasars (41 objects) the redshift distribution was compared to those of several other samples of quasars (BRL, 3CRR, MQS, B3-VLA, 7CRS I-III and PKS 0.25Jy) which have complete or nearly complete redshift information.</description><source format="bibcode">2004A&amp;A...421..455K</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/421/455</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource>Conesearch service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/VIII/67">VIII/67 : Catalogue of scintillating radio sources (Artyukh+, 1996-1998)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+A/403/555">J/A+A/403/555 : Interplanetary Scintillation Pushchino Survey (Artyukh+, 2003)</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/421/455</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/421/455</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/421/455</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/421/455</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/421/455</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/421/455</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><capability xsi:type="cs:ConeSearch" standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/ConeSearch"><description>Cone search capability for table J/A+A/421/455/table2 (R-band magnitudes and redshifts for PS radio sources)</description><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/421/455/table2?</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/421/455/table2?</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/conesearch/J/A+A/421/455/table2?</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface><maxSR>180.0</maxSR><maxRecords>50000</maxRecords><verbosity>true</verbosity><testQuery><ra>147.5180708</ra><dec>41.0231845</dec><sr>0.005555555555555556</sr></testQuery></capability><coverage><spatial>5/1333 6/5209 5225 5231-5232 5237-5238 5241 5243 5272 5277 5284 5286 5292 5298 5303 5305-5306 5311 5319 5345 5347 5354-5357 5362 5367 5369 5371 5386 5411 5415 5423 5432 5434-5435 5507 5511-5514 5523 5528-5529 5531 5535 5538 5540 5546 5553 5557 5559 5565-5566 5648 5651 5657 5701 5704-5706 5720 5722 5727-5728 5730 5732 5734-5737 5739 5741 5743 5749 5753 5758 5831 5846 5848 5855 5878 5893 5898 5900 5903 5906 5912-5913 5917-5920 5927-5928 5930 5940 5944 6018</spatial><spectral>6.758590835331923e-26 3.3785437584409506e-19</spectral><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc">https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/moc/J/A+A/421/455?format=ascii</footprint><waveband>Optical</waveband><waveband>Radio</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/421/455/table2</name><description>R-band magnitudes and redshifts for PS radio sources</description><column><name>u_Type</name><description>[?] uncertainty sign for uncertain types</description><ucd>meta.note</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType" arraysize="1*">char</dataType></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
