(1998ApJ...496...17G) from the geometrical Barnes-Evans method. The concept of ``sosie'' is applied to extend the distance determination to extragalactic Cepheids without assuming the linearity of the PL relation. Doing so, the distance moduli are obtained in a straightforward way. The correction for extinction is made using two photometric bands (V and I) according to the principles introduced by Freedman &amp; Madore (1990ApJ...365..186F).</description><source format="bibcode">2002A&amp;A...383..398P</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/383/398</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship><relationship><relationshipType>related-to</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/V/48">V/48 : A catalogue of field type II Cepheids (Harris, 1985)</relatedResource><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/J/A+AS/108/9">J/A+AS/108/9 : Cepheids fundamental parameters I.
