The infrared data were taken with IRAC2 at ESO 2.2m telescope while the optical counterparts are from Hubble Space Telescope (HST). We find a mean magnitude for the horizontal branch of V_HB_=16.92, and K_HB_=12.42+/-0.01. Assuming a reddening of E(B-V)=0.7, the mean distance modulus is (m-M)_0_=13.6 giving an heliocentric distance of 5.2Kpc. This distance is slightly higher than that previously published by Ortolani et al. (1990A&amp;A...236..362O, hereafter OBB90). The brightest giants have been detected at K~6.5 and (V-K)=13.10 transforming to M_K_=-7.34 and (V-K)_0_=11.20, which are exceptionally high values for a globular cluster. The metallicity has been found to be consistent with previous values and an average of [Fe/H]=-0.22+/-0.05 has been adopted. The helium abundance estimated via the R' method yields Y_p_~0.28+/-0.03.</description><source format="bibcode">1998A&amp;A...331...70G</source><referenceURL>https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/cat/J/A+A/331/70</referenceURL><type>Catalog</type><contentLevel>Research</contentLevel><relationship><relationshipType>IsServedBy</relationshipType><relatedResource ivo-id="ivo://CDS.VizieR/TAP">TAP VizieR generic service</relatedResource></relationship></content><rights>https://cds.unistra.fr/vizier-org/licences_vizier.html</rights><capability><interface xsi:type="vr:WebBrowser"><accessURL use="full">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/331/70</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/331/70</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/VizieR-2?-source=J/A+A/331/70</mirrorURL></interface></capability><capability><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP"><accessURL use="base">https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/331/70</accessURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at IUCAA: Pune, India">https://vizier.iucaa.in/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/331/70</mirrorURL><mirrorURL title="VizieR at SAAO: SAAO, South Africa">http://vizieridia.saao.ac.za/viz-bin/votable?-source=J/A+A/331/70</mirrorURL><queryType>GET</queryType><resultType>text/xml+votable</resultType></interface></capability><capability standardID="ivo://ivoa.net/std/TAP#aux"><interface xsi:type="vs:ParamHTTP" role="std"><accessURL use="base">https://tapvizier.cds.unistra.fr/TAPVizieR/tap</accessURL></interface></capability><coverage><footprint ivo-id="ivo://ivoa.net/std/moc"/><waveband>Infrared</waveband></coverage><tableset><schema><name>default</name><table><name>J/A+A/331/70/appen</name><description>VIJK photometry of 1426 stars</description><column><name>No</name><description>[1/48688]+ Sequential number (1)</description><ucd>meta.id;meta.main</ucd><dataType xsi:type="vs:VOTableType">int</dataType><flag>primary</flag><flag>indexed</flag></column><column><name>recno</name><description>Record number assigned by the VizieR team.
